The Technical Instructional Designer II is a mid-level technical role responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that enhance user’s effectiveness in a platform. This role focuses on developing instructional materials, facilitating hands-on training, and ensuring compliance with operational standards and safety protocols. The Specialist collaborates with scrum team members, product owners, and support specialists to develop onboarding, upskilling, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Have a clear understanding of the platform’s technical architecture and be able to effectively translate this knowledge into training materials.
- Develop and deliver training materials that are easily understood by end users and AI services.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
- Stay current with industry best practices, technologies, and compliance standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in full-stack development with an emphasis on customer interaction, technical documentation, and training exercises
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular).
- Experience with back-end development (.NET, Node.js, Python).
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Certifications such as CPTD, Six Sigma Green Belt, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of instructional design software (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate).
- Experience with performance coaching and workforce development programs.
- Background in AI/ML, data engineering, or advanced analytics.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
